Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter was born October 8, 1968. She played Ainsley Hayes's role in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 (2006)) as well as Det. Calleigh Duquesne on the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on 8 October, 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician, adopted her as an infant . He also adopted Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. Procter was born in Raleigh. She was just three years old at the time her parents divorced. She has an older brother, Whit also adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter attended school in Raleigh. While attending East Carolina University, Procter joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter worked as a television anchor for news at WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. She later graduated with degrees in journalism dance.
