Milena Govich

 

Milena Govich (Serbian born on 29 October 1976) is an American actress, director, singer dancer, musician, and actress most well-known for her role as NYPD Detective Nina Cassady on the television series Law & Order.



 



 Early life and education



 Govich was born in Norman County, Oklahoma. The late Dr. Bruce Michael Govich (who died in 1998) as well as Dr. Marilyn Green Govich [2are both professors of music. Marilyn teaches voice at University of Central Oklahoma, while Bruce was employed at University of Oklahoma. Her father was Serbian and her mother has Scottish and English descent. Milica Govich is her aunt. She has appeared on television, film as well as Broadway.



 



 Milena graduated from Norman High School in 1995 as valedictorian of her class. Following her academic family as well as her academic parents, she graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma as valedictorian. The following year she graduated with a double degree in premedical science and performance, and a minor on dancing and violin. Govich at the time of her graduation relocated to New York City in pursuit of acting opportunities.
